Meet Our Staff
Chuck Penington is in his 25th year as conductor of the Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha. He began piano lessons at age 6 and composed his first piece of music a year later.

While attending Southern Methodist University, Penington began playing the piano for a dance band. He finished school at the University of Nebraska where he won the Vreeland Award for music composition.



Penington has performed with musical legends such as Tom Jones, Henry Mancini, Wayne Newton and Engelbert Humperdinck and conducted orchestras for top names such as George Burns, Bob Hope and Bob Newhart.

Chuck was Gordon MacRae's musical conductor and arranger for eight years and conducted the Exile Orchestra for the ABC television miniseries "Amerika."

He is the featured keyboard artist for Chip Davis' "Music of Manheim" show and conductor for the Manheim Steamroller Christmas tour.

Penington's company, PANDA Productions, has created original music for film scores, records and hundreds of commercials. Penington has also produced the rock musicals "Lucifer" and "The Count That Counts."

Active in civic and professional organizations, Chuck has chaired the Lincoln Film and Television Commission.


Chris Gillette is the Project Director of the Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha and the Director of the Community Services Division of the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA).

Chris has worked for ENOA since graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in May 1979.


She was Director of the Downtown Omaha Center for Seniors from 1979 -1984; Director of Community Recreation from 1984 - 1986; Administrative Assistant from March 1986 - July 1996 when she assumed her current position.

Elizabeth Ferrin is in her fifth year as Assistant Project Director.
